The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of relevant experience, enjoy working in a collaborative office environment, and be comfortable balancing strategic infrastructure responsibilities with day-to-day technical support needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer and maintain Windows server environments, network systems, and related infrastructure.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize network performance, connectivity, and security.
  • Implement and maintain security controls, patch management, endpoint protection, and access management processes.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, group policies, and system configurations.
  • Perform system backups, disaster recovery planning, and business continuity support.
  • Monitor system health, investigate incidents, and resolve infrastructure-related issues.
  • Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and other office technology.
  • Assist with workstation deployment, hardware installations, software upgrades, and equipment configuration.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, networking, and printer-related issues.
  • Document systems, procedures, and support activities.
  • Mentor and train a junior IT support employee, providing guidance, knowledge transfer, and professional development.
  • Collaborate with management to identify and implement technology improvements.

Requirements

Required Qualifications
  • 5-7 years of experience in systems administration, network administration, or infrastructure support roles.
  • Strong experience supporting Windows Server environments.
  • Experience managing network infrastructure, including switches, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless networks.
  • Knowledge of server and network security best practices.
  • Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Microsoft 365 environments.
  • Proven troubleshooting skills across servers, networking, workstations, and peripheral devices.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience training, mentoring, or providing technical guidance to junior team members.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Industry certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, Microsoft, Cisco, or equivalent.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
  • Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Experience with endpoint management and monitoring tools.

Work Environment
  • Full-time, on-site position in the Bossier City/Shreveport area.
  • This is not a remote role; regular in-office presence is required.
  • Position includes both infrastructure-level responsibilities and hands-on support for end-user technology needs.
