Site Reliability Engineer- eCommerce Platform- Framingham, MA (Onsite Local Candidates Only)Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to support and maintain large-scale, high-traffic eCommerce platforms for a leading retail client. The ideal candidate will have strong production support experience, deep knowledge of SRE principles, and hands-on expertise in monitoring, troubleshooting, and ensuring system reliability in 24 7 environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide L1/L2 production support for high-availability eCommerce applications
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure platform stability
- Perform incident management, root cause analysis (RCA), and implement preventive measures
- Work with DevOps and engineering teams to improve system reliability and automation
- Maintain and optimize monitoring dashboards, alerts, and observability tools
- Support large-scale B2C and B2B eCommerce platforms with high transaction volumes
- Diagnose and resolve issues across application, infrastructure, and network layers
Required Skills & Experience:
- 7+ years of IT experience in production support / SRE / DevOps environments
- Strong hands-on experience with SRE principles and practices
- Mandatory experience supporting large-scale eCommerce platforms (B2C/B2B)
- Expertise in incident management, RCA, and production troubleshooting
- Hands-on experience with monitoring tools such as New Relic (APM, alerts, dashboards) and Splunk
- Working knowledge of Angular applications (monitoring and troubleshooting)
- Experience with NoSQL databases (CouchDB / Couchbase or similar)
- Strong understanding of Linux systems and networking fundamentals
- Proficiency in scripting/programming for automation and operational support
