Project Manager

Description

We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead complex data privacy and advanced analytics initiatives. This position is based in Southern California and offers a long-term contract opportunity. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing technology and data platform projects, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations while driving organizational transformation and innovation.

Responsibilities:

Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, and milestones to ensure timely and efficient execution of deliverables.

Lead initiatives focused on data privacy compliance, including assessments, regulatory reviews, and implementation of privacy controls.

Facilitate Agile ceremonies to prioritize sprint goals, address blockers, and guide teams toward improved delivery flow.

Collaborate with stakeholders across business, technical, and leadership teams to ensure alignment on project objectives and updates.

Oversee governance and quality assurance processes to ensure deliverables meet established standards and compliance requirements.

Coordinate knowledge transfer, documentation, and operational handoff activities for completed projects.

Manage end-to-end delivery of data pipelines, analytics solutions, dashboards, and modernization efforts.

Partner with product owners to maintain dual-focused backlogs that address feature delivery, data quality enhancements, and compliance tasks.

Ensure strong data governance practices, including metadata accuracy, documentation, and quality controls, throughout project lifecycles.

Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to enhance project delivery practices.

Requirements

Proven experience in Agile Scrum framework and methodologies.
PMP Certification or equivalent project management credential.
Extensive background in IT project management, particularly in data privacy and analytics.
Proficiency in using Atlassian Jira for project tracking and coordination.
Strong leadership skills to guide cross-functional teams and facilitate collaboration.
In-depth understanding of data governance practices and privacy regulations.
Excellent communication skills to engage stakeholders and deliver clear project updates.
Ability to manage complex projects involving multiple dependencies and deliverables.
