Summary

We are seeking a Systems Engineer within the Maritime Surface Division who will work within a matrixed engineering organization and will support analysis, integration, and verification activities. This Systems Engineer will develop systems engineering artifacts, including Requirements Specification, Mapping, and Analysis, Test Procedures, Test Reports, CONOPS, and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) content. The ideal candidate balances hands-on technical execution with cross-functional leadership across the full system lifecycle and is comfortable working on multiple concurrent projects.

Join us and be part of a world-class team delivering unmatched solutions for today's most pressing maritime missions. You will work on mission-critical programs that demand rigorous engineering discipline and innovation. This role offers the opportunity to influence system-level decisions, shape technical baselines, and mentor other engineers while collaborating closely with customers, software, hardware, and test teams.

Primary Responsibilities.
  • Lead systems engineering lifecycle activities that include requirements decomposition, interface definition, architecture alignment, and verification/validation planning/coordination.
  • Establish and maintain system requirements management processes, tools, and artifacts.
  • Develop and maintain systems engineering documentation including architecture diagrams, interface control documents, and technical standards.
  • Apply Model-Based Systems Engineering practices using Cameo to support requirements decomposition, allocation, and traceability.
  • Collaborate across disciplines to integrate hardware, software, and control systems into cohesive system solutions.

Basic Qualifications.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Systems, Mechanical, Electrical, Software, Ocean), Computer Science, Physics, or Math from an ABET-accredited university.
  • 4-8 years of experience with maritime systems or other integrated electro-mechanical systems.
  • Demonstrated systems engineering experience supporting requirements management and system verification.
  • Demonstrated experience effectively communicating within a team environment.
  • Exposure to DoD technical program execution.
  • U.S. Citizenship with ability to obtain a SECRET clearance.

Preferred Qualifications.
  • Experience with requirements management for ship systems and electronics systems.
  • Experience supporting DoD, NASA, or DARPA programs.
  • Proven experience developing and maintaining system artifacts using Cameo Systems Modeler.
  • Experience developing and coordinating system-level testing activities.
  • Strong background performing FMEA and FMECA.
  • Proven track record in product manufacturing and transitioning designs to production.

Familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 and quality-focused engineering processes.
