Healthcare QA Analyst

Specific Job Functions/Key Accountabilities:

1. Develops expertise in testing processes and gaining an understanding of the organization's systems, technology, and business

2. Supports project teams to provide assurance that requirements, design, and other project deliverables meet standards, as appropriate

3. Executes test cases (e.g. functional/system/integration /security etc. testing) and documents results

4. Participates in the review of requirements, design, and configuration; develops the test scenarios and test cases for verification

5. Monitors adherence to quality processes, reports issues and makes recommendations

6. May contribute to test plans under guidance of more senior staff

7. Ensures that approved changes are integrated into the existing test scripts and additional scripts are added as necessary, updates documentation and maintains versions as needed

8. Responsible for publishing product quality metrics, trends and measuring improvements and any other reporting

Complexity:

1. Analyzes requirements and specifications and applies technical knowledge following established procedures

2. Selects and applies standard testing techniques and procedures as appropriate given the nature of the project and assignment, under guidance

3. Identifies errors and assists in triage of errors

4. Works on problems of moderate scope where the analysis of data requires a review of a variety of factors

Required Skills:

1. Applies a working knowledge of standard application quality practices and tools (e.g. defect management) in order to deliver high quality work

2. Developing the ability to develop test plans and scenarios

3. Can execute test cases and compare results to requirements and specifications to ensure compliance and in order to report defects to development

4. Developing an understanding of how to apply automated testing tools

5. Understands fundamentals of requirement specification, design, and coding as they relate to application / system quality

6. Proficient in technical requirements associated with areas of work

7. Possesses a good working knowledge of the different areas of the organization, where to refer typical requests to, where to go for assistance

8. Possesses knowledge of the business functions supported, existing systems, and the company's products and services

9. Exposure to testing tools (i.e. Quality Center/ALM & SQL)
