Who we are looking for

We are seeking an experienced Application Support Specialist with strong expertise in SWIFT-integrated, fund accounting, custody operationsand mainframe ecosystems to support and modernize mission-critical financial applications. • Enabling cloud transformation of legacy mainframe workloads, improving agility, observability, and resilience
  • Strengthening compliance with internal controls, external audits, and regulatory requirements tied to financial messaging and data protection

You will contribute to the firm's broader transformation by bridging traditional mainframe operations with modern cloud-native DevSecOps/SRE practices.

What you will be responsible for

  • Mainframe & Legacy Integration
    • Support integration between mainframe platforms (e.g., IBM Z, Tandem/NonStop) and modern cloud-based services
    • Enable zDevOps / modern DevOps practices for mainframe workloads, including version control, automated deployments, and testing
    • Collaborate with mainframe operations teams to improve reliability and change management processes
  • DevSecOps & Automation
    • Embed security controls into the CI/CD pipeline (shift-left security)
    • Enhance application security (authentication, SSO, API gateways) and encryption standards
    • Reduce manual interventions through automation and runbook engineering (AWS/Azure)
  • Observability & Resilience
    • Implement monitoring and alerting across hybrid platforms using tools such as Prometheus, Splunk, Grafana, and enterprise monitoring tools
    • Improve system resilience, capacity planning, and incident response
    • Lead root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes for production incidents
  • Collaboration & Delivery
    • Work across application support, infrastructure, cloud, and vendor teams (e.g., SWIFT, managed services)
    • Support major transformation initiatives involving system migrations from mainframe to cloud
    • Ensure alignment between development, operations, and security teams

Education & Preferred Qualifications
Qualifications
  • 5+ years experience as a Application Support Engineer in financial services
  • Strong knowledge of mainframe systems (IBM Z, Tandem/NonStop, or similar)
  • Good knowledge of SWIFT-connected platforms and secure environments
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure)
  • Experience managing hybrid architectures (mainframe + distributed + cloud)
