The Product Expert is responsible for the management of the SAP environment. This role involves the technical administration of the SAP software, as well as various 3rd party applications that integrate with SAP S/4, and the ability to perform HANA Database administration (Install, patching, upgrade, maintenance, backups, etc.).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manage the technical administration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting of SAP S/4HANA systems and HANA databases.
  • Oversee SAP installation, upgrades, patches, kernel updates, and full system refreshes across development, test, and production environments.
  • Administer SAP Transport landscapes and manage client operations including copies, exports, and imports.
  • Design and evaluate interfaces between SAP applications and external 3rd party systems while maintaining environment documentation.
  • Perform SAP BTP and Cloud ALM administration duties, ensuring optimal configuration and high system availability.
  • Provide SAP Basis leadership on modernization projects and deliver regular status reports to management.

PROFESSIONAL NETWORK

Internal Stakeholders
  • Liaise with SAP Functional teams to align technical landscapes with business processes.
  • Coordinate with Global Infrastructure Operations (GIO) for server and hardware maintenance.
  • Partner with the PMO to track technical milestones in large-scale modernization projects.

External Partnerships
  • Collaborate with SAP Support and account managers for incident resolution and licensing.
  • Manage technical integrations and vendor relations with Redwood Software.
  • Oversee the Vertex O-Series tax software interface and vendor technical support.

Are you a MATCH?

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 4-year degree in IS, Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • 8+ years of SAP Basis Administrator experience.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in HANA Database administration and S/4 HANA upgrades.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Familiarity with SAP BTP and Cloud ALM administration.
  • Experience managing 3rd party integrations (Vertex, Redwood).
  • Expertise in ABAP/J2EE Netweaver stacks and IT governance.
