Position Title:- Data Center Computer Operator
Location: Atlanta, GA
Position type: Contract
Interview Process:- Either Web Cam or In Person
We are looking for an experienced Data Center Computer Operator to support daily operations in a large data center environment. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Control-M, TPE/BPE Manager, production control, network monitoring, and data center infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and monitor computer systems and data center equipment.
Monitor Control-M job scheduling and TPE/BPE transactions.
Monitor network connectivity, system access, and server performance.
Monitor data center security, HVAC, electrical systems, generators, UPS, and fire protection systems.
Coordinate hardware and software maintenance with vendors.
Ensure printed output is accurate and free of defects.
Follow change management, incident management, problem management, and asset management procedures.
Support business continuity and disaster recovery operations.
Monitor and support AIX, Linux, and Windows servers.
Follow ITIL standards and data center operational procedures.
Required Skills:
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Computer Operator in a large data center.
Minimum 2 years of experience with NOC operations and production control.
Hands-on experience with Control-M and TPE/BPE Manager.
Knowledge of LAN/WAN, MPLS, TCP/IP, and SNA.
Experience with data center security, HVAC, generators, UPS, raised floors, and fire suppression systems.
Knowledge of ITIL, change management, incident management, and disaster recovery.
Experience with automated job schedulers and hardware/software maintenance contracts.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Education: Two-year degree or certificate in IT or a related field, or equivalent IT work experience.
Preferred: Experience working with state or federal government organizations.
