Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Oracle Database Developer for a hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity requiring a minimum of 3 days per week onsite. We are seeking a Senior Oracle Database Developer with strong experience in global banking data to design, develop, and optimize end-to-end analytical data objects on the Oracle database platform. This role is responsible for building analytics-ready structures from staging and ingestion layers through cleansed, conformed models, culminating in high-performing analytical views and reporting objects. These outputs will power web dashboards, enterprise reporting, and AI/ML-enabled tools, making reliability, performance, and governance critical.
Responsibilities: - Build trusted analytical objects end-to-end from raw/staged datasets through reporting-ready views
- Deliver high-quality data that reduces downstream defects and improves report credibility
- Produce fast, scalable database objects that meet dashboard SLAs and AI tool requirements
- Demonstrate strong ownership by identifying issues, proposing improvements, and driving them to closure
- Improve data quality, consistency, and lineage across the Oracle platform
Requirements: - 8+ years of hands-on experience as an Oracle Database Developer or Data Developer
- Expert-level Oracle SQL and PL/SQL (complex joins, window functions, CTEs, performance tuning)
- Strong experience building analytics/reporting layers (views, materialized views, aggregates, reporting schemas)
- Proven ability to work with large-scale enterprise data, preferably in financial services or global banking
- Strong understanding of data modeling and database design concepts (dimensional modeling, relational modeling)
- Experience improving data quality and implementing repeatable validation frameworks
- Ability to interpret complex schemas quickly and propose restructure or redesign approaches
- Strong troubleshooting skills across data pipelines and database objects; ability to perform root-cause analysis
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical designs to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Desired skills: - Experience in Treasury, Payments, Risk, Finance, Markets, Client, or Regulatory banking domains
- Experience with Oracle advanced features: partitioning, parallel query, materialized view refresh strategies, advanced indexing
- Familiarity with enterprise governance concepts: data lineage, metadata management, reference data, master data
- Experience supporting downstream consumers such as BI/Web dashboards (Power BI/Tableau) and AI/ML pipelines
- Exposure to ETL/ELT concepts
- Experience working in an Agile delivery environment with Jira/Confluence
- Experience with RAG and LLM is a plus
Pay range: $55.06 - $63.06 per hour
