Candidates should have deep, realworld experience (not just familiarity) with:

dbt & Transformation Frameworks

o Production use of dbt models, tests, documentation, and CI/CD

o Building reusable, governed transformations not oneoff analytics models

Lakehouse / Medallion Architecture

o Clear understanding of Bronze Silver Gold responsibilities

o Particular strength in designing and improving the Silver layer, which is currently the team s biggest challenge

o Data quality, conformance, standardization, and reuse

Databricks & Spark

o Production pipelines (batch and/or streaming)

o Delta Lake, cluster configuration, job orchestration

o Performance and cost optimization

CloudNative Engineering (Azure required)

o Comfort owning pieces of the platform (jobs, permissions, orchestration)

o DevOps support exists but is tactical, so selfsufficiency matters
