A growing technology services environment is looking for a senior System Administrator to act as a key escalation point and technical leader within a hybrid infrastructure spanning on-premises systems and Azure cloud services.
This role blends operational ownership with project-based engineering, supporting Windows Server environments, virtualization platforms, and identity-driven cloud workloads.
The position offers significant autonomy, exposure to diverse client environments, and the opportunity to influence reliability, performance, and modernization initiatives. This is ideal for senior engineers in the Calgary market who enjoy troubleshooting complex issues while contributing to strategic infrastructure improvements.
Required Skills & Experience - Strong hands-on experience administering Windows Server across on-premises, virtualized, and Azure-based environments
- Expertise with VMware and/or Hyper-V virtualization platforms in production environments
- Experience supporting Azure services including Microsoft 365, Entra ID, and hybrid identity infrastructure
Desired Skills & Experience - Backup and disaster recovery solution administration across hybrid infrastructure
- LAN/WAN troubleshooting and network performance analysis in multi-site environments
- Experience acting as Tier 3 escalation within a client-facing or service-oriented technical team
Daily Responsibilities - Hands-On Engineering: 70%
