Summary

Data Engineer / Developer

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop high-quality, scalable, and efficient data solutions.
  • Support end-to-end data engineering initiatives and data transformation efforts.
  • Develop and optimize complex SQL queries and data transformations.
  • Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using DBT or similar technologies.
  • Support data warehousing initiatives, including data modeling and data quality practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues across the data lifecycle.
  • Create and support unit testing efforts to ensure solution accuracy.
  • Document enhancements and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Collaborate effectively with Agile teams to deliver business solutions
Required Skills

SQL Development (3+ Years)
  • Strong SQL experience developing and optimizing complex data transformations and queries.
Data Warehousing (3+ Years)
  • Experience with data warehousing concepts including:
    • Data modeling
    • ETL/ELT processes
    • Data quality management and best practices
Cloud Data Platforms (3+ Years)
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake or similar cloud data warehouse technologies.
Required Technology Experience
  • Snowflake
  • DBT (preferred)
  • Python
  • Control-M or similar workflow orchestration/job scheduling tools
Required Experience
  • Experience independently delivering at least 2-3 mid-sized to large development projects.
  • Ability to support data engineering solutions from design through deployment.
  • Experience troubleshooting complex data and integration issues.
  • Strong collaboration skills within Agile development environments.
  • Experience driving technical tasks and meeting project objectives.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms.
  • Strong understanding of data transformation best practices.
  • Exposure to workflow orchestration and scheduling tools.
  • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced delivery environments.
