Role Description:
Netcool Developer with expertise in IBM Cloud Pak for AIOps, responsible for modernizing traditional Netcool Operations Insight (NOI) environments by integrating AI-driven event management, automation, and predictive analytics to improve IT operations efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Integrated on-premise Netcool Omnibus and Netcool Impact environments with IBM Cloud Pak for AIOps, enabling seamless migration to AI-driven event management platforms.
• Designed and implemented event synchronization and data pipelines, ensuring bidirectional flow between Netcool and AIOps using data transformation rules (JSONATA).
• Developed and optimized event correlation, deduplication, and noise reduction strategies, significantly improving alert quality and reducing incident fatigue.
• Built and automated runbooks and remediation workflows using Netcool Impact policies, Python, and Bash scripts to enable faster incident resolution.
• Supported AI/ML model training by curating high-quality event, metric, and log data for anomaly detection, event grouping, and predictive analytics.
• Leveraged topology and resource management features within AIOps to provide application-centric infrastructure visibility and impact analysis.
• Integrated third-party tools such as Splunk, ServiceNow, and Slack to enable a unified, automated IT operations ecosystem.
• Troubleshot complex issues across hybrid cloud environments, ensuring stability and performance of Netcool and AIOps platforms.
• Collaborated with DevOps, SRE, and infrastructure teams to implement scalable and resilient monitoring and automation solutions.

Required Skills:

• Strong expertise in IBM Netcool Suite (Netcool Omnibus, Netcool Impact)
• Experience with IBM Cloud Pak for AIOps (CP4AIOps)
• Knowledge of event management, correlation, and alert noise reduction
• Hands-on experience with JSONATA, scripting (Python/Bash)
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts in IT operations (AIOps)
• Experience integrating tools like Splunk, ServiceNow, Slack
• Understanding of hybrid cloud and microservices-based environments
