Summary We are seeking a
Senior Network Manager to lead enterprise networking strategy, operations, and engineering for a large multi-site organization. This role blends strategic leadership, financial acumen, and hands-on technical expertise. The ideal candidate has deep experience in large-scale network architecture, performance optimization, security, and team leadership, with a proven ability to drive initiatives that ensure high availability, scalability, and alignment with business objectives.
Responsibilities - Develop and execute the enterprise network roadmap, aligning technology with business objectives.
- Define network standards, policies, and long-term strategies in partnership with IT leadership.
- Drive continuous improvement through emerging technologies and innovative solutions.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of senior network engineers, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Oversee performance management, career development, and goal-setting for direct reports.
- Manage third-party NOC providers to ensure SLA compliance.
- Own network budget planning, ROI analysis, TCO optimization, and justifications for capital/operational expenses.
- Evaluate vendor proposals and manage strategic relationships with service providers and contractors.
- Ensure 24/7 network availability across LAN, WAN, WLAN, SD-WAN, VPN, VoIP, and cloud networking.
- Oversee incident management, change control, and escalation processes for critical network events.
- Define and monitor KPIs, ensuring service levels meet or exceed business expectations.
- Serve as senior technical escalation point for complex network challenges.
- Lead architecture reviews, capacity planning, and enterprise network security initiatives.
Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred).
- 8+ years of IT networking experience, with 4+ years in a leadership or management role.
- Experience with ROI, TCO, and BNA analysis for IT infrastructure investments .
- Proven experience managing third-party providers, including NOCs.
- Strong understanding of network security principles and compliance frameworks (PCI DSS, SOX, etc.).
- Hands-on expertise with Cisco, Meraki, Nexus, SDN, SD-WAN, VPN, and cloud networking.
Bonus Skills - Experience leading multi-site enterprise networks.
- Familiarity with SASE and other emerging network technologies.
- Experience in budget forecasting, financial justification, and vendor negotiations.
- Ability to influence and align cross-functional stakeholders on network strategy.
