The work: In your new role as a Project Scrum Master/Business Analyst, you will be entrusted with the dual responsibilities of steering project management initiatives and championing Agile/Scrum methodologies within the development team. Your organizational prowess and proactive nature will be crucial as you define project scopes, set objectives, and pinpoint deliverables in unison with stakeholders. You will craft detailed project plans, ensuring resources are aptly allocated and budgets are meticulously managed. Your ability to track project progression against timelines and financial constraints will be pivotal. As a risk assessor and mitigator, you will be the linchpin in identifying potential project pitfalls and devising strategies to circumvent them. Your communication skills will shine as you keep stakeholders informed about project trajectories, potential risks, and emergent issues, while also managing their expectations and integrating their feedback. As a Scrum Master, your role will extend to facilitating all Scrum ceremonies with efficiency and adherence to time constraints. You will be the team's mentor in Scrum principles, fostering an environment where continuous improvement is the norm. Your role will be to clear the path for the team by removing obstacles that could impede their momentum, while also shielding them from disruptions. By promoting a self-organizing and cross-functional team dynamic, you will enhance communication and collaboration, both within the team and with external stakeholders. Your guidance will ensure that both the Product Owner and the Development Team are fully engaged with Scrum practices. Additionally, you will be responsible for monitoring and communicating team performance through various metrics, such as sprint burndown charts and team velocity.
Responsibilities:
Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders. Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget management. Manage and track project progress, ensuring adherence to timelines and budget. Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues. Communicate project status, risks, and issues effectively to stakeholders. Manage project stakeholders, ensuring their expectations are met and their input is incorporated. Coordinate and facilitate project meetings, including planning sessions, status updates, and reviews. Ensure project documentation is complete, accurate, and readily accessible. Manage project changes and ensure appropriate approvals are obtained. Track and report on project performance metrics. Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards. Facilitate Scrum events (Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, Sprint Retrospective) ensuring they are effective and time-boxed. Coach and mentor the development team on Scrum principles, practices, and values. Remove impediments and roadblocks that hinder the team's progress. Protect the team from external distractions and interruptions. Foster a self-organizing and cross-functional team environment. Facilitate effective communication and collaboration within the team and with stakeholders. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
