Full-Stack Software Engineer to join an agile software team supporting mission-critical systems for the national intelligence community. This role focuses on engineering new solutions and enhancing existing capabilities within a modern, cloud-based software ecosystem.
The ideal candidate will contribute to the design and development of scalable, secure, and high-performance applications using modern DevSecOps and Agile methodologies.
Role Responsibilities- Design, develop, test, and deploy full-stack software solutions to support complex, mission-driven applications.
- Lead or contribute to the development of front-end user interfaces integrated with cloud-based back-end systems.
- Collaborate closely with UX designers to implement intuitive and efficient user experiences across large, distributed systems.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to iterative software delivery.
- Analyze user and system requirements to ensure software solutions meet functional and performance expectations.
- Present software designs and demonstrate application functionality to technical peers and stakeholders.
- Develop, enhance, and sustain new and existing applications; troubleshoot and resolve software defects and performance issues.
- Contribute to the architecture and implementation of distributed system components aligned with long-term system architecture goals.
- Support a multi-tiered cloud infrastructure that includes multiple consumer-facing web applications.
- Assist in systems that optimize tasking, planning, data exploitation, and data dissemination for hardware platforms such as satellites and ground systems.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)- Bachelor's degree in an engineering, computer science, or related technical discipline.
- Active Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance with SCI eligibility (clearance must have been active within the past 24 months).
- Ability to obtain a Counterintelligence (CI) polygraph after start date.
- 3+ years of experience designing and developing software for complex systems, including:
- Distributed systems
- Multi-threaded and multi-process applications
- Strong foundation in computer science and software engineering principles.
- 3+ years of experience with object-oriented programming.
- Experience using distributed version control systems such as Git, GitHub, or similar tools.
Education- Bachelor's degree in an engineering or related technical discipline from an accredited institution, or equivalent practical experience.
