Description We are seeking a motivated and resourceful Technical Support Engineer to join a growing engineering team supporting enterprise networking, cloud, storage, and media technology environments. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting complex technical issues, learning new technologies, and working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate will be a strong team player with excellent problem-solving skills, a methodical troubleshooting approach, and a desire to expand their technical expertise across multiple disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for enterprise networking and infrastructure environments
- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues using a structured and logical methodology
- Configure and support enterprise-grade networking equipment, including switches, routers, and firewalls
- Monitor, diagnose, and resolve system and network incidents
- Manage support tickets and escalate issues when appropriate
- Participate in an on-call support rotation for critical infrastructure incidents
- Assist with cloud, virtualization, storage, and containerized environments
- Support file transfer and video streaming technologies
- Collaborate with engineering teams on infrastructure improvements and operational initiatives
- Contribute to automation and scripting efforts to improve efficiency

Requirements Required Qualifications
- Strong Linux/Unix administration skills
- Comfortable working extensively from the command line (CLI)
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals and the OSI model
- Experience troubleshooting TCP/IP network environments
- Knowledge of:
- VLANs
- DHCP
- NAT
- DNS
- TCP/IP
- IPv4
- Familiarity with routing protocols, including:
- BGP
- MPLS
- OSPF
- IS-IS
- Experience with enterprise networking equipment such as routers, switches, and firewalls
- Understanding of ticket management and escalation processes
- Strong communication and documentation skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Scripting and automation experience
- Knowledge of data storage technologies
- Experience with video streaming platforms and workflows
- Familiarity with file transfer technologies such as Aspera
- Experience working within AWS environments
- Exposure to virtualization and containerization technologies
- Interest in continuing technical education and certification programs
