Summary

Requirements

2 or more years of experience in the National Electronic Disease Surveillance System Based System (NBS).
Proficiency in CDC and CSTE viral hepatitis case definitions and laboratory reporting standards.
Experience with managing surveillance and document review queues for HBV and HCV data.
Experience in data cleaning, quality assurance, and resolving medical record discrepancies.
Experience with processing electronic and paper laboratory reports within public health databases.
Experience in medical record request coordination and health data maintenance.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Execute laboratory and case data entry for viral hepatitis records within the NBS platform.
Apply standardized CDC and CSTE definitions to determine case status for surveillance reporting.
Manage prioritized document review queues to identify acute, perinatal, and reinfection cases.
Perform systematic data cleaning and quality assurance to maintain public health database integrity.
Resolve incomplete records and discrepancies in electronic and orphaned laboratory reports.
Coordinate medical record requests and data verification with program and surveillance staff.
Report technical data issues and notable surveillance findings to the project leadership team.
