Title: Mainframe Senior Software Engineer

Location: OH / Remote

Duration: 6 months Contract

Must Have

Agile Methodology
application development - software engineer
Mainframe technologies such as COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM

Nice To Have

Card processing solutions (TSYS, Mastercard)
Remote work will be allowed
SAS knowledge
Switchboard/DBT/Snowflake

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:.

Bachelor’s degree in computer science/information systems or comparable with 5 years or less of software development experience.
Knowledge of object-oriented design and development experience with one or more of the following programming languages: Cobol, SAS, other open-system languages. Familiarity with relational databases and SQL.
Experience with any of the following, a plus: Snowflake environment tools like Elevate, Switchboard, DBT; ETL; file movement using sFTP. Understanding of basic networking and firewall concepts.
Experience with version control solutions, preferably Git/GitHub.
Understanding of the full software development lifecycle.
Familiarity with security best practices for software development.
Strong analysis and problem-solving skills.
