Role Overview
We are seeking a Test Automation Manager to join a team of qualified, diverse professionals. The ideal candidate will lead a dual run testing and validation program supporting a major modernization effort, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of a platform as it transitions from legacy systems. This role will oversee the strategy, design, and execution of automated testing across multiple phases and environments to ensure seamless integration and operational stability.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the dual run testing and validation program to ensure the platform achieves a 95% or greater claim match rate compared to legacy systems.
- Develop the comprehensive Dual Run Test Plan, including test strategy, entry/exit criteria, automation scope, and validation approach.
- Design modern test automation frameworks and methods that support SIT, regression, end-to-end, and volume/performance validation cycles.
- Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of automated and manual test activities.
- Oversee the creation, maintenance, and optimization of automated test scripts using tools such as Cucumber, Selenium, Postman, JUnit, Jira, or TestRail.
- Track test metrics, defect trends, and dual run comparison results, producing clear variance dashboards and analytics.
- Drive the Go/NoGo recommendation process through evidence-based reporting and risk analysis.
- Create, maintain, and enforce the Quality Management Plan (QMP), including testing standards, processes, and automation governance.
- Ensure test environments and data sets support repeatable and scalable testing.
- Work with development, architecture, operations, and business teams to ensure aligned test coverage and timely issue resolution.
- Provide leadership and technical guidance to test automation engineers and functional testers.
- Support Agile ceremonies and establish quality KPI dashboards for metrics such as defect leakage and automation coverage.
- Ensure compliance with federal healthcare program requirements and security standards.
Required Qualifications
Education: A minimum of 8 years of experience with a BS/BA degree, 6 years with an MS/MA degree, or 3 years with a PhD.
Experience:- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
- Proven experience managing large-scale test automation programs that integrate legacy platforms with modernized systems.
- Experience leading testing in complex, multi-vendor environments, including SIT, regression, E2E, and performance testing cycles.
- Strong understanding of healthcare claims processing or transformations between legacy and modern platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to build, track, and present test metrics, dashboards, and readiness assessments.
- Experience developing or managing formal test documentation, including Test Plans and Quality Management Plans.
- Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience working within Agile environments and delivering testing within iterative development cycles.
Technical Skills:- Demonstrated expertise in automated testing tools such as Cucumber, Selenium, Postman, JUnit, Jira, TestRail, or equivalent.
- Hands-on experience designing automation frameworks supporting API, UI, integration, and performance testing.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Facets, healthcare claims platforms, or CMS related systems.
- Experience with federal healthcare programs or regulated health data environments.
- Test automation certifications (e.g., ISTQB Advanced Test Automation Engineer).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integration of automated testing into DevSecOps toolchains.
- Prior leadership roles on modernization or legacy-to-target system transition programs.
- Experience applying AI/ML-based test optimization tools or predictive analytics.
- Experience supporting large-scale transformation efforts within a systems integrator environment.
- Active or prior Public Trust clearance.
