Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Data Scientist to lead Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) initiatives supporting federal clients. This role will focus on leveraging large structured and unstructured datasets to generate actionable insights, automate manual analysis, and deliver innovative data-driven solutions. The ideal candidate will provide strategic guidance on AI/ML approaches, lead Centers of Excellence, and work hands-on to design, develop, and deploy scalable machine learning models.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 12 years of overall professional experience, including 8+ years of specialized experience in Data Science, AI, or Machine Learning.
Strong expertise in machine learning algorithms, AI techniques, and statistical modeling.
Proficiency in descriptive statistics and advanced analytical methods.
Hands-on programming experience with Python, R, SQL, Spark/PySpark, Matlab, or similar tools.
Experience handling both structured and unstructured data sources.
Strong communication skills with the ability to lead projects and engage stakeholders.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or related technical field.
Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of practical Data Science experience in enterprise or federal environments.
Master’s or PhD in a STEM-related discipline.
Experience delivering end-to-end data science solutions from planning through production deployment.
Knowledge of explainable AI (XAI), responsible AI, and model governance.
Experience in MLOps, automation, CI/CD pipelines, and data engineering.
Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud AI/ML services.
