Day to Day:- Receives an order through a Jira ticketing system, pulls the hardware required to build out the order (checks PDG and requirement list), builds it and configures to the correct IOS, Engineering team remotely accesses the hardware and checks off that it was configured correctly, if it was then the order is shipped out to the destination
- The team is willing to train the candidate on their specific protocols
- Configuring the devices to the correct IOS, Engineering team provides info on how the hardware should be configured
Job Description:- 2 - 5 years of experience.
- Plans and implements enterprise networks and related hardware and software.
- Designs and documents network architecture.
- Performs assessments on existing technologies to determine performance and capacity gaps. Establishes security (firewalls, intrusion detection), connectivity and access parameters.
- Provides recommendations to optimize network infrastructure.
- Tests and tunes security devices and systems.
- Programs routers and switches.
- Implements communications technologies (data or voice).
- Manages network services from planning phase through implementation.
- Solid knowledge of routing protocols, network hardware and software, security technologies and network infrastructure is required.
