Genesis10 is currently seeking a Senior Android Developer - Hybrid position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. This role is for a senior Android developer with expertise in Android native test automation solutions using Kotlin. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience developing automation scripts for mobile applications and will participate in the full application lifecycle, from development to testing and release.
Responsibilities: - Participate in the full app life-cycle: develop automation scripts, test, and release to the app store
- Work with product teams on new product ideas, designs, prototypes, and estimates
- Keep up to date on current and upcoming features in relevant products and platforms
- Drive the best practices approach to the continuous improvement of our products, processes, and tools
- Write and maintain documentation for all features in development
- Design, develop, and prototype Android mobile applications for phone and tablets
- Design and build native mobile applications on the Android platform
- Collaborate with the design team to define app features
- Ensure quality and performance of the application to specifications
- Identify potential problems and resolve application bottlenecks
- Fix application bugs before the final release
Requirements: - Typically requires 5-7 years of experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or software engineering
- 5+ years of experience on Android Platform development using Kotlin and/or Java
- Development experience in Core Java
- Experience writing automated tests using frameworks like Appium
- Proficient in Objective-C, Swift, and Swift UI
- Extensive knowledge of XCode
- Knowledge of C-based libraries
- Proficient in Kotlin, Objective-C, Web Services, Rest Services, Core Java, CSS, HTML, JavaScript, and XML
- Proficient in code versioning tools including Git and Bitbucket
- Familiarity with Biometrics, push notifications, and usage of Camera APIs
Desired skills: - Mobile Test Automation with Appium for Android and iOS platforms
- Experience with continuous integration and unit tests
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-based environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong focus on troubleshooting and issue resolution
Pay range: $55.06 - $63.06 per hour
