IT Governance and Compliance Analyst

Role Overview

The client is seeking an IT Governance and Compliance Analyst (with AI focus) to strengthen technology governance, regulatory compliance, and AI oversight in a higher education like environment. This role focuses on aligning AI usage with compliance standards, governance frameworks, and institutional policies while supporting academic and administrative operations.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain and enhance IT governance frameworks supporting academic, research, and administrative systems
Monitor and enforce compliance with regulatory and security standards, including data privacy and AI governance
Develop, update, and coordinate AI-related policies, standards, and compliance documentation
Support internal and external audits by preparing governance and compliance artifacts
Track emerging AI governance regulations and recommend process and compliance improvements

Required Skills

IT governance, risk, or compliance experience 10+ years
Governance frameworks (COBIT, ITIL) and compliance standards (NIST, ISO) 10+ years
Engaging business partners and technical teams on AI compliance initiatives 5+ years

COBIT Certification
ITIL Certification
Information Security or Compliance Certification (e.g., CISA, CISSP)
