Location: Plano, Texas | Pennington, New Jersey | Jacksonville, Florida (Onsite)Employment Type: ContractContract Duration: 12 MonthsRole Overview
This position involves providing end-to-end middleware administration for online banking and eCommerce platforms. The role is focused on delivering enterprise projects, ensuring production stability, and managing platform patching. The successful candidate will work with application and testing teams, design high-availability infrastructure, and execute production changes.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform middleware administration for WebLogic, WebSphere, JBoss, Tomcat, Apache, IBM HTTP Server, and WXS.
- Deliver on middleware enterprise projects and regulatory legislative initiatives.
- Ensure middleware platforms are patched with current software versions to manage risk.
- Conduct server installation, configuration, performance tuning, and production support.
- Support and conduct production change management duties.
- Design middleware infrastructure and topology for high availability and failover.
- Interface with internal customers and external vendors throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC).
- Provide support in a 24/7 environment, including after-hours and weekends.
Required Qualifications
Experience:- A minimum of five years of professional Information Technology experience.
- Experience with J2EE at a large-scale enterprise system level.
- Working knowledge of application setup, support, and configuration.
- Expert knowledge of Linux operating systems with hands-on experience in troubleshooting application issues.
- Experience with infrastructure, application performance, and customer experience tools such as Netcool, ITM, Splunk, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, and SiteScope.
Technical Skills:- Administration of WebLogic, WebSphere, JBoss, IBMHttpServer, Tomcat, and Apache.
- Knowledge of shell, Jython, and Perl scripting.
- Expertise with AppDynamics and DynaTrace.
- Expertise with Ansible.
- Understanding of web application communication protocols such as SOAP, HTTP, and XML.
- Knowledge of core network services including DNS, SMTP, NTP, syslog, and HTTP.
Education:- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent field experience with at least three years supporting middleware products.
Preferred Qualifications
- Expertise with the Bladelogic toolset.
- Knowledge of Java/Container frameworks.
- Experience with the BMC Remedy ITSM tool.
