The client is looking for a senior SAP S/4HANA Solution Architect who acts as the design authority for an end-to-end SAP transformation, bridging business processes, technical architecture, integration, data, and governance.
This role requires travel to North Dakota every alternate week (one week onsite, one week remote).

Job Description:
The client is looking for an experienced Solution Architect. This individual will be responsible for the implementation of an S/4HANA End to End business processes. The Solution Architect is the technical and functional design authority for the SAP transformation program. They need ensure that the solution aligns with business requirements, industry best practices, and SAP standards while maintaining integration across all modules and systems. This role bridges business processes, technical architecture, and delivery governance.
Skills & Experience
- 15+ years SAP experience; 3–5 years as Solution Architect on large programs.
- Expertise in S/4HANA architecture, integration, and SAP best practices.
- Strong understanding of SAP modules, data migration, and cloud technologies.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities
1. Solution Design & Architecture - Define the end-to-end SAP solution architecture (S/4HANA and related applications).
- Ensure alignment with SAP Activate methodology, global template, and industry standards.
- Design integration architecture between SAP modules (FI, CO, SD, MM, PP, EWM, etc.) and external systems (tax engines, legacy apps, data platforms).
- Establish technical landscape: environments, sizing, and deployment model (on-premise, RISE with SAP, cloud).
- Govern custom development (WRICEF objects) and ensure minimal customization.
2. Requirements & Fit-to-Standard - Lead Fit-to-Standard workshops and validate solution feasibility.
- Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications.
- Identify gaps and propose standard SAP solutions or approved extensions.
3. Integration & Data Strategy - Define integration patterns (APIs, IDocs, BTP services) and middleware usage.
- Oversee data migration strategy, including mapping, cleansing, and reconciliation.
- Ensure master data governance and harmonization across systems.
4. Governance & Quality Assurance - Act as design authority for all solution decisions; approve changes to scope or architecture.
- Maintain solution blueprint, process hierarchy, and configuration rationale.
- Conduct quality reviews for functional specs, technical designs, and test scripts.
5. Security, Compliance & Performance - Ensure authorization design aligns with SoD and compliance requirements.
- Validate performance benchmarks and system scalability.
- Support audit readiness and regulatory compliance (SOX, GDPR, industry-specific).
6. Testing & Cutover Support - Define end-to-end test scenarios and integration test coverage.
- Validate cutover sequencing for technical components and data loads.
- Provide hypercare oversight for solution stability post go-live.
7. Stakeholder Management - Collaborate with Business Process Owners, Project Managers, and Technical Leads.
- Communicate solution decisions to Steering Committee and Delivery Teams.
- Act as escalation point for design conflicts or integration issues.
