Position: Project/Program Manager IT 5/ Agile Coach
Location: Peoria/Chicago, IL, Dallas, TX (Once in a Month Travel)
Duration: 12 Months Contract  

Agile Coach for the Cat Digital DevOps Organization

Facilitate the operations of an Agile framework with multiple teams while embracing the principles of the framework and

the Agile mindset. Help teams reach their highest performance level in the execution of workstreams.

Provide expertise, leadership, mentorship, coaching, consulting, training, and/or facilitation in the aid of teams,

architects, leaders, and engineers in the Cat Digital DevOps organization to improve being Agile.

Position’s Contributions to Work Group:

Facilitate Agile ceremonies, coach teams in lean Agile practices, partner with product and stakeholders to drive value, remove impediments, reduce decision latency, and enable data-driven continuous improvement.

Typical task breakdown:

•  Facilitate Agile Delivery

Plan, schedule, and lead Agile ceremonies while fostering team self-organization, transparency, ownership, and continuous improvement.

•  Coach and Enable Agile Teams

Coach teams on Agile values, practices, and artifacts using a lean mindset to improve delivery effectiveness and adaptability.

•  Drive Value with Product and Stakeholders

Partner with the Product Owner/service request manager and stakeholders to prioritize work and ensure continuous delivery of business value.

•  Remove Impediments and Accelerate Decisions

Actively identify and remove blockers, reduce decision latency, and enable progress through clear communication and effective influencing.

•  Enable Data Driven Improvement and Reporting

Help teams capture and analyze performance data, provide actionable insights, and support management decision making through relevant metrics and reporting.

Interaction with team:

• 5 focus areas: Cloud, DevOps, Security, Identity, Risk
• Drive collaboration across 5 global cross-functional portfolio teams, a team of architects, and an automation engineering team.
• Interacting with various teams, operating as an overall PM and agile coach

Candidate Requirements

Education & Experience Required:

• Bachelor’s degree required with 10+ years’ experience
• Master’s Degree with 8+ years’ experience.

Required Technical Skills

• Experience working in an Agile delivery environment (Scrum, Kanban, or similar frameworks)
• Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives using metrics and data

Soft Skills

• Demonstrated experience facilitating Agile ceremonies and cross functional team collaboration
• Experience partnering with Product Owners, engineering managers, and business stakeholders
