Position: Sr. Network Engineer

Hiring Mode: 12 Months Contract

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining a new market data connectivity infrastructure using Cisco equipment. This role requires a deep understanding of network architecture, market data systems, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and Implementation: Lead the design and implementation of a new market data connectivity infrastructure using Cisco equipment, ensuring high availability, low latency, and scalability.
• Network Architecture: Develop and maintain network architecture diagrams, documentation, and standards to support the market data infrastructure.
• Configuration and Optimization: Configure and optimize Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Troubleshooting and Support: Provide advanced troubleshooting and support for network-related issues, including root cause analysis and resolution.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other engineering teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and operation of the market data infrastructure.
• Security: Implement and maintain network security measures to protect data integrity and prevent unauthorized access.
• Monitoring and Reporting: Set up and manage network monitoring tools to proactively identify and address potential issues. Generate regular reports on network performance and health.
• Compliance: Ensure that the network infrastructure complies with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
• Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior network engineers and other team members.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCIE) are highly desirable.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on Cisco equipment and market data connectivity.
• Proficiency in configuring and managing Cisco routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Strong understanding of network protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, etc.) and technologies (MPLS, VPN, QoS, etc.).
• Experience with network monitoring and management tools (e.g., Cisco Prime, SolarWinds, etc.).
• Knowledge of market data systems and financial trading environments is a plus.
