Job Details

As an Electrical Project Manager, you will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of electrical projects, ensuring adherence to client specifications, industry standards, and safety protocols. In this role, you will work closely with engineers, subcontractors, and field staff to coordinate electrical system installations and ensure timely completion of projects. Drawing on your expertise in electrical systems, you will develop project budgets, schedules, and scopes of work, while also managing procurement activities and overseeing construction progress.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage electrical projects from initial planning through closeout, ensuring safety, quality, budget, and timeline requirements are met.
  • Review project specifications, drawings, and scope of work, coordinating with engineers and design teams to ensure accurate implementation.
  • Develop and maintain project budgets, forecasts, and change orders while monitoring financial performance to address any variances promptly.
  • Create and manage project schedules, coordinating with subcontractors, vendors, and field teams to optimize resources and work sequencing.
  • Conduct regular project meetings with stakeholders, keeping clients informed of progress, challenges, and resolutions.
  • Oversee procurement of electrical materials and equipment, ensuring compliance with project specifications and schedules.
  • Enforce adherence to safety regulations, electrical codes, and company policies throughout all project phases.
  • Support the startup and commissioning of electrical systems, ensuring documentation and training are completed for successful project handover.

Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience managing commercial electrical projects within a mechanical contracting or related environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience accepted.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Proven track record in project budgeting, cost management, schedule development, and construction oversight.
  • Proficient in project management software and personnel management tools (e.g., MS Office, scheduling software).
