Job Summary:

We are seeking a Database Administrator DBA to manage and maintain our database systems, ensuring their availability, performance, and security. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in database management, problem-solving skills, and a passion for optimizing database operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain database management systems DBMS such as Oracle or SQL Server.r
• Monitor database performance and implement tuning strategies to optimize efficiency.cy
• Ensure data integrity, security, and availability through regular backups and disaster recovery plans.
• Collaborate with development teams to design and implement database schemas and data models.
• Write and optimize complex SQL queries and stored procedures
• Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues promptly
• Implement and maintain database security policies to protect sensitive information
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in database management

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
• At least 12 years of experience as a Database Administrator or in a similar role
• Proficiency in database management systems such as Oracle or SQL Server
• Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with query optimization
• Familiarity with database backup and recovery tools and techniques
• Understanding of data security and compliance standards, e.g., GDPR
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud database services, e.g.,g Azure SQL Database, Snowflake
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases, e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB
• Knowledge of database automation and monitoring tools
