Mid-Level Structural Analysis Engineer - Interiors Stress

Location: North Charleston, South Carolina (Onsite)

Role Overview

Our organization is seeking a Mid-Level Structural Analysis Engineer to support the Interiors Stress team. This role involves performing stress and structural analysis on aircraft interior components, supporting design, certification, and production activities. The ideal candidate will partner with engineering teams to resolve structural issues and evaluate interior structures for compliance and performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform stress analysis on aircraft interiors products using classical hand analysis, Finite Element tools, or Dynamic Simulation methods.
  • Support design, certification, and production activities for interior components.
  • Evaluate interior structures for compliance, safety, and performance.
  • Partner with engineering teams to resolve structural issues.
  • Review supplier documents, including engineering drawings, analysis, test plans, and reports.
  • Develop, integrate, and document structural requirements to establish interior commodity designs.
  • Coordinate with other engineering groups to establish the product's environment, such as load cases and interface loads.
  • Guide product design and verify structural integrity throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Develop test plans, support test execution, and analyze results to validate systems and components.
  • Define and document certification and test results for regulatory agencies.
Required Qualifications

Education: A Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, Aeronautical, or Material Sciences is required.

Experience: Candidates must have 5-10 years of related engineering experience, including structural analysis and experience supporting aircraft or other complex structures.

Technical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required. Experience with manufacturing or production systems is necessary.

Additional Requirements: This position requires status as a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.62. Employer will not sponsor applicants for employment visa status.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with aircraft interiors or structures.
  • Experience in the aerospace or automotive industries.
  • 5+ years of experience with aircraft interior components such as galleys, lavatories, seats, or stow bins.
  • Experience developing certification-related documentation.
  • Knowledge of Part 21 and Part 25 Code of Federal Regulations.
  • Experience providing supplier technical oversight.
