Key Responsibilities
- Requirements & Collaboration: Collaborate closely with client teams as they finalize project requirements, providing subject matter expertise in debit card transaction workflows.
- Test Strategy & Execution: Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for the updated 0120 transaction processing flow, ensuring flawless real-time updates and transaction reversals.
- Simulation & Testing: Utilize Lexcel (FIS vendor tool) to simulate debit card transactions, validate messaging protocols, and identify system anomalies.
- Phased Delivery Support: Support both development and testing efforts across a phased release cycle, ensuring the client's system changes seamlessly sync with Visa's deployment timeline.
- Defect Management: Identify, log, and track defects, working hand-in-hand with developers to troubleshoot issues and retest fixes in a timely manner.
qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 8 years of dedicated software testing experience, with a heavy emphasis on the Debit Card/Payment Processing domain.
Technical Expertise: Hands-on, proficient experience with Lexcel (FIS simulation tool) is strictly required.
Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of point-of-sale (POS) transaction flows, automated fuel dispenser (AFD) pre-authorizations, and standard financial messaging (e.g., ISO 8583/0120 transactions).
Work Style: Proven ability to work effectively as an augmented resource in a fast-paced, client-facing environment. Strong communication skills are vital for cross-functional alignment between client teams and network specifications.
