Summary

We are seeking a Senior Java Production Engineer with strong experience in enterprise application support, microservices, and cloud environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for production monitoring, troubleshooting, and ensuring high availability of SaaS-based applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide production support for enterprise-level Java applications.
  • Monitor application performance and ensure system availability using tools like Splunk, ELK, and New Relic.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues, including root cause analysis.
  • Support and maintain microservices-based applications built on Spring Boot.
  • Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and client teams for issue resolution.
  • Manage incident handling, ticketing systems, and SLA adherence.
  • Lead and mentor distributed/offshore teams.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders and clients regarding system status and issues.
  • Ensure continuous improvement in monitoring, alerting, and operational processes.
  • Work in Kanban/ticket-based production support models.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 10–12 years of experience in Java production support/engineering.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Java (J2EE), Spring, and Spring Boot.
  • Experience with microservices and cloud platforms.
  • Experience supporting SaaS-based applications.
  • Hands-on experience with monitoring tools (Splunk, ELK Stack, New Relic).
  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with Unix/Linux commands and scripting.
  • Solid understanding of production support processes and ticketing systems.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Kafka and event-driven systems.
  • Knowledge of databases like Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server.
  • Familiarity with frontend technologies (HTML, JavaScript).
  • Experience with Spring Security and SSO solutions.
  • Exposure to Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF).
  • Experience with Python scripting.
