Job Description Summary
Essential Functions / Responsibilities:

Contribute to system integration, DevOps, Continuous Improvement (CI), and Continuous Deployment (CD), while interfacing with the external customers, internal engineering group, and project teams. Develop, maintain and evolve on-premise container-based deployment infrastructure, Ansible infrastructure, Maven / Jenkins / Artifactory build infrastructure, and related systems while evaluating and deploying new tools. Evolve on-premise software pipeline infrastructure to include complete chain of custody security. Provide customer support and guidance to adopt the same infrastructure-as-code tooling that is utilized in-house. Support the deployment and operation of our product at the customer site. Work with software developers to implement and integrate system changes to meet the customer's needs. Work with customer throughout the project life cycle to support the CI/CD setup at customer's site. Participate in testing of the integrated system. Identify the need for changes whether they are defects or new enhancements. Proactively identify system problems, failures, and areas for improvement. Track issue resolution and document solutions implemented and create troubleshooting guides. Interact with Product Development Team, Customers, Solution Providers (Partner / Integrators), and other cross-functional teams as required. Effectively apply standard execution methodologies and processes.

Job Description

Qualifications / Requirements:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related. Five (5) years of progressive experience in DevOps (CI/CD), software development, Enterprise System Integration, or a combination thereof. Employer will accept a Master's degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related and two (2) years of experience in DevOps (CI/CD), software development, Enterprise System Integration, or a combination thereof in lieu of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent and five (5) years of progressive experience as described above. Work experience to include: Developing, managing, and supporting software used for Bulk Electrical Systems, and Bulk Energy Markets; DevOps, GitOps, CI/CD, and source control management; Git, Maven, Jenkins, Artifactory, and Ansible; Kubernetes and containerization; Managing Kubernetes deployments with ArgoCD; Deploying microservices into k8s clusters; Helm Charts; and Using logging and monitoring tools to include: Splunk, Elasticsearch, Kibana, Prometheus and Jaeger. 100% remote position reporting to GE Energy Management Services LLC in Bellevue, WA. Candidate may live anywhere in the continental U.S. GE will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening. Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a drug screen (as applicable). For U.S. based positions only, the pay range for this position is $149,240-$212,202 annually. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for 10% variable incentive compensation.
