Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Scrum Master to support a cross-functional team delivering AI, data, and technology solutions within a complex enterprise environment. This individual will strengthen Scrum effectiveness, coach teams toward greater self-management, and create visibility around priorities, risks, dependencies, and decisions while helping navigate the experimentation and evolving requirements common to AI-focused initiatives.
The ideal candidate is a strong leader and skilled facilitator who can create clarity without being overly prescriptive. They will bring a systems-thinking approach across people, process, technology, data, and governance, proactively surface risks, drive continuous improvement, and foster strong collaboration across technical and non-technical teams.
Key Responsibilities
Establish and strengthen effective Scrum practices across a highly cross-functional technology team.
Coach team members and Product Owners on self-management, collaboration, transparency, inspection, adaptation, and continuous improvement.
Facilitate Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Reviews, Sprint Retrospectives, and backlog-refinement sessions.
Ensure Scrum events are focused, inclusive, productive, and appropriately timeboxed.
Foster psychological safety, accountability, and a shared focus on Product and Sprint Goals.
Partner closely with Product Owners to clarify goals, refine and prioritize the backlog, surface assumptions, and organize work around measurable business or customer value.
Support delivery across teams and disciplines including Product, Data Science, Data Engineering, Analytics, Platform Engineering, Security, Privacy, Legal, and business stakeholders.
Identify and help resolve impediments related to data access, data quality, environments, infrastructure, tooling, governance, security, privacy, and cross-team dependencies.
Help teams balance discovery, experimentation, and production delivery within the same operating model.
Encourage clear hypotheses, evaluation criteria, reproducibility, operational readiness, monitoring, and appropriate rollback or stop criteria for AI and data initiatives.
Maintain visibility into goals, work in progress, delivery risks, dependencies, impediments, and key decisions.
Use metrics such as cycle time, throughput, aging work, and blocked time to identify opportunities for improvement.
Facilitate alignment across technical and non-technical stakeholders and establish effective working agreements across teams.
Escalate systemic challenges when issues cannot be resolved within the delivery team.
Use lessons from Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, delivery metrics, and team-health indicators to improve quality, predictability, decision-making, and delivery effectiveness.
Coach leaders and adjacent teams on practical and effective Agile/Scrum adoption.

6+ years of experience in a Scrum Master, Agile Delivery, Agile Coaching, or closely related role.

Demonstrated experience coaching teams and Product Owners in Scrum, backlog refinement, empirical planning, facilitation, conflict resolution, and continuous improvement.
Experience working alongside software engineering, data, analytics, machine learning, AI, or platform teams.
Ability to communicate credibly with highly technical specialists without directing their implementation work.
Strong experience identifying delivery risks, dependencies, and impediments and driving resolution across organizational boundaries.
Experience working within modern Agile/project-management and collaboration platforms such as Jira, Confluence, Miro, or similar tools.
Preferred Qualifications
Scrum or Agile certification such as PSM, CSM, SAFe, or equivalent.
Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle.
Familiarity with modern AI and generative AI technologies and tools.
