DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES:
DevOps
Assess existing MSP processes, tooling, workflows, and structures.
Design and implement DevOps pipelines for infrastructure and application deployment.
Deploy CI/CD tooling (GitLab, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, ArgoCD, Tekton, etc.).
Define and implement automated testing, quality gates, and release pipelines.
Introduce GitOps workflows where appropriate
Containerization & OpenShift
Install, configure, and operationalize Red Hat OpenShift 4.15 or equivalent Kubernetes platforms.
Containerize target applications or infrastructure components.
Establish container image management, registries, governance, and security scanning.
Develop and deliver best practices for cluster operations, multitenancy, and resilience.
Infrastructure as Code(IaC)
Develop IaC frameworks using Terraform, Ansible, Helm, Kustomize, or equivalent tools.
Build and deliver reusable templates for VM provisioning, networking, Kubernetes, and middleware services.
Implement automated configuration management and compliance baselines.
Integrate IaC templates into CI/CD workflows and GitOps structures.
Architecture & Design
DevOps pipeline architecture and workflow diagrams.
OpenShift/Kubernetes architecture designs (Compute, Network, Storage).
IaC framework and template catalog documentation.
Security, access, and governance model.
Documentation
Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and runbooks.
IaC template repository and documentation.
CI/CD playbooks.
Training curriculum, videos, and knowledge-transfer materials.
Responsibilities:
1. Platform Design Document: Detailed architecture for the OpenShift platform and supporting services.
2. Implemented OpenShift Cluster: A production-ready, secure, and scalable OpenShift environment.
3. CI/CD Pipeline Implementations: Fully automated pipelines for at least 2-3 representative client applications.
4. Infrastructure as Code Repository: A version-controlled repository (e.g., GitLab) containing all Terraform and Ansible code for environment provisioning.
5. Application Templating Repository: A repository of Helm Charts or OpenShift Templates for standardized deployments.
6. Knowledge Transfer Plan & Schedule: A detailed plan outlining training sessions and mentorship activities.
7. Operational Runbooks & Documentation: Comprehensive documentation for the Client's team to operate, support, and troubleshoot the new platform.
8. Final Project Report & Roadmap: A summary of achievements, lessons learned, and recommendations for future phases.
Requirements:
7+ years in DevOps and infrastructure architecture.
Expert in designing and implementing Kubernetes/OpenShift platforms in production.
Deep expertise in IaC (Terraform, Ansible). - Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Python).
Experience with cloud providers (VMware, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
