This position is tailored for professionals interested in supporting and optimizing the operation of trading systems and infrastructure. The role involves ensuring system stability, developing automation tools, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and collaborating with development teams to improve operational efficiency. It offers a strategic opportunity to contribute to the company's operational infrastructure in a dynamic environment.


Key Responsibilities



  • Oversee the daily operation and reliability of trading systems, ensuring continuous and stable performance.

  • Develop and refine automation tools to improve operational workflows, reduce manual effort, and increase accuracy.

  • Troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues, from network protocols to in-house applications, prioritising resolution to minimise downtime.

  • Collaborate with development teams to enhance system robustness and introduce innovative solutions.

  • Manage and coordinate system updates and changes within a global framework, ensuring minimal disruption.

  • Support the team during on-call rotations, providing expert assistance when required.

  • Contribute to broader initiatives that support operational and strategic goals.


Essential Skills & Experience



  • Proven ability to develop and deploy applications using Python, demonstrating solid design and implementation skills.

  • Strong proficiency with Linux operating systems and a sound understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, and HTTP.

  • Excellent communication skills, capable of working effectively across diverse teams and stakeholders.

  • Analytical mindset with a self-motivated approach to solving complex problems.

  • Bachelor's or Associate degree in a technical field such as computer science or engineering.

  • Previous experience supporting electronic trading or financial systems is highly advantageous.


Additional Skills & Qualifications



  • Familiarity with data visualization tools e.g Grafana.

  • Experience with Atlassian tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Bitbucket.

  • Knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Windows 11 environments.

  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles relevant to operational settings.

  • Ability to work proactively and build trust quickly within a fast-paced trading environment.
