CTG is seeking to fill an
Apache Kafka Engineer position for our client.
Location: RemoteDuration: 10 monthsRequired skills:- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Apache Kafka and Change Data Capture (CDC) technologies.
- Strong expertise in Confluent Platform and Kafka ecosystem components.
- Hands-on experience with Confluent XStream CDC Connectors.
- Experience implementing CDC solutions from databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or DB2.
- Strong experience with Kafka Connect architecture, Source Connectors, and Sink Connectors.
- Hands-on experience with JDBC Source and Sink Connectors.
- Experience with Apache Iceberg and Kafka Iceberg Sink Connectors.
- Experience integrating Kafka pipelines with Amazon Redshift & AWS S3.
- Strong understanding of Schema Registry, Avro, JSON, and Protobuf serialization formats.
- Hands-on experience with OpenShift and Kubernetes deployment, and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of Kafka architecture, partitioning, replication, consumer groups, and cluster operations.
- Experience with Linux/Unix systems and shell scripting.
Nice to have skills:- Experience with Oracle GoldenGate CDC.
- Experience with Apache Flink or Apache Spark.
- Confluent Certified Developer or Administrator Certification.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $70 to $75 hourly. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
