Job Description

An Entry Level Manufacturing Quality Engineer contract job in Oldsmar, FL is available at Belcan. To be qualified for the role, you will need a Bachelor's degree and some experience in manufacturing, quality assurance or quality control and a . A Manufacturing Quality Engineer ensures products meet quality standards and safety regulations by developing, implementing, and maintaining quality management systems, procedures, and documentation. They analyze production data, perform inspections, conduct root-cause investigations, and lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and improve quality. Key duties include auditing processes, managing supplier quality, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
* Quality System Development: Design and implement quality control plans, inspection methods, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
* Data Analysis & Improvement: Use statistical tools (SPC) to monitor process capability and identify areas for improvement.
* Root Cause Analysis: Investigate non-conformances, defects, and customer complaints, implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
* Inspection & Audit: Conduct in-process, final, and supplier audits, along with First Article Inspections (FAI).
* Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with engineering, manufacturing, and procurement teams to ensure quality is integrated into new product development and production.
Required Qualifications & Skills
* Education: Bachelor"s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing) or related field.
* Technical Skills: Experience with QC tools (e.g., calipers, gauges), root cause analysis (5 Whys, Fishbone), AS9100, IPC
* Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and communication skills to interface with staff at all levels.
* Experience: Previous experience in manufacturing, quality assurance, or quality control.

Compensation:
We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering an hourly rate of $22.00 to $28.00; however, Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline. Benefits offered may include health care, dental, vision, life insurance; 401(k); education assistance; paid time off including PTO, holidays, and any other paid leave required by law.
