Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Policy Management Systems (PMS) Developer with extensive knowledge of Cobol, JCL, and DB2 Mainframe. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully leading cross-functional teams and managing software development projects. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can effectively communicate with stakeholders and drive project success.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage projects from initiation to closure, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
- Hands-on development and coordination with technical teams to ensure successful implementation of Cobol, JCL, and DB2 solutions.
- Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, providing solutions to keep projects on track.
- Facilitate project meetings, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among team members.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and post-project evaluations.
Mandatory Skills:
- Proficient in Policy Management Systems (PMS).
- Strong expertise in Cobol programming language.
- Solid understanding of JCL (Job Control Language).
- Experience with CICS, VSAM, and DB2 Mainframe database management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.
- Experience in leading cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of experience in project management, with a focus on software development projects.
- Proven hands-on experience working on projects involving Cobol, JCL, CICS, VSAM, and DB2 Mainframe.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide teams.
