The Instrumentation Development Technician is primarily responsible for the repair, maintenance, and build-up of electronic test instrumentation associated with vehicle testing at the Stellantis Chelsea Proving Grounds. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electronics, PLC?s/ industrial controls, and demonstrated trouble-shooting skills. Other duties may include general bench work (building cable harnesses, circuit assembly, test boxes), calibrating meters and sensors, network/ PC repair.

Job Duties:

  • Fabrication, assembly/disassembly of various types of electro-mechanical/electronic instruments, motor drives
  • Calibration, repair and testing of various transducers and gauges
  • Use soldering to build various cable/wire harnesses and connectors
  • Electrical wiring/harness/cable building with various connector/wire specifications
  • Use hand tools/bench tools/machine tools to build/test/verify various electronic instruments
