About the Company A hyper growth, SaaS startup (recent $100M raise, led by top tier investors) is expanding its engineering team.
The product: a loan servicing automation platform built to replace the industry s slow, analog, Excel driven work flows
With proven success, aggressively scaling the SaaS model across the industry making this is a rare opportunity to join post product validation and pre mass scale.
Ideal Resource A high end, deeply technical Senior Backend Engineer with strong Python (or Java) fundamentals and true ownership mentality. Someone who thrives in ambiguity while build from zero to one. We are NOT looking for comfortable corporate engineers. Ideal candidates have spent the last 3 5 years in startup environments (or at least had a strong startup role recently), building products from scratch in environments supporting fintech.
Must Have One of the Following Web application development; Mobile application development; Building large scale distributed systems; or Infrastructure management.
Key Responsibilities- Build, scale, and maintain core backend services powering a highly regulated, high volume financial platform.
- Design robust, extensible infrastructure capable of adapting to evolving federal, state, and agency level regulations.
- Write clean, performing, and scalable code while demonstrating strong knowledge of algorithms and data structures.
- Collaborate closely with Product and Design to shape user experience and technical direction.
- Own end to end solutions understand what you are building, why you're building it, and how it impacts the business.
- Move quickly and contribute meaningfully in a fast paced, high accountability environment.
Required Experience- 7+ years of professional high-level software engineering experience.
- Hands on backend engineering with strong Python (or Java).
- Proven execution building from the ground up in a start-up environment.
- Deep understanding of fundamental engineering concepts - algorithms, data structures, distributed systems.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross functionally.
- Ownership mindset, low ego, and excited by solving complex industry problems.
Tech Stack (Experience in all is NOT required)- Python
- Docker, Kubernetes
- Cloud (Google Cloud Platform preferred)
- Modern frontend frameworks
- React exposure is a plus but not required
Estimated Min Base: $200,000.00
Estimated Max Base: $230,000.00
