Business Intelligence Developer

About The Role

We are seeking an experienced BI Developer with strong Power BI expertise to join our team in Southlake, TX. This role will focus on building scalable data models, developing optimized SQL queries, and delivering interactive dashboards and financial reports using Power BI.

The ideal candidate will have deep experience in financial reporting, data visualization, data modeling, and performance optimization.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and optimize complex SQL queries for efficient data retrieval
Design and implement scalable database schemas and reporting models
Build interactive dashboards and advanced financial reports using Power BI
Develop Power BI data models using DAX and Power Query
Perform query optimization and performance tuning for large datasets
Translate financial/accounting data into actionable visual insights
Create drill-down, drill-through, and linked reporting solutions
Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather reporting requirements
Ensure data accuracy, governance, and compliance standards

Required Skills & Experience

4+ years of SQL Server development experience
Strong hands-on experience with Power BI development (data modeling, DAX, visualization best practices)
Experience building complex financial and accounting reports
Strong knowledge of relational databases and data modeling
Expertise in performance tuning and query optimization
Experience handling large datasets and complex drilldowns
Excellent analytical and communication skills
Ability to work independently as an individual contributor
