They are adding an Atlassian Tools Administrator to bring structure, consistency, and visibility to how engineering and delivery teams plan work, collaborate, and execute at scale. In this role, you will act as the functional owner of Atlassian tools across the organization, ensuring Jira, Confluence, and related capabilities are configured to reflect how teams actually work. The focus is on thoughtful platform design that balances flexibility and governance, enabling teams to move predictably without unnecessary process overhead.

Experience and Education:
- BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or equivalent experience/field
- Experience administering Atlassian tools in multi-team or enterprise environments
- Strong background supporting agile delivery organizations
- Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence in production use
- Experience working closely with engineering, product, or platform teams
- Exposure to quarterly or PI planning cycles
- Experience operating in regulated or compliance-aware environments

Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Own administration and configuration of the Atlassian tool ecosystem
- Serve as the functional owner of Jira and Confluence usage across teams
- Configure and maintain Jira boards, sprint settings, and backlog structures
- Define and manage issue hierarchies including epics, stories, tasks, and sub-tasks
- Support quarterly and PI planning through effective system configuration
- Ensure Atlassian tools reflect real delivery practices
- Provide leadership with accurate visibility into work and dependencies
- Partner with engineering and delivery leaders to refine tool usage
- Clean up and rationalize poorly implemented configurations
- Prevent unnecessary customization that creates long-term risk
- Support both Scrum and Kanban teams within a shared platform
- Translate business intent into practical system design
- Act as the Atlassian subject matter expert for delivery tooling
