Maintenance Technician (Onsite)
Primary Location: Libertyville, Illinois

V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for a Maintenance Technician for our premier client in Libertyville, Illinois.

WHAT YOULL NEED:
Technical Requirements and Certifications
  • Technical School Certification or post-secondary schooling preferred.

Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or GED required with completion of Technical School Certification preferred.
  • Familiarity CNC machine operation strongly preferred or prior experience working with highly complicated levels of equipment.
  • Minimum of one (1) year in a manufacturing or service environment with hands on experience.
  • Experience with Fanuc, Siemens, or other major controls preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and in small group situations to other employees in the organization.
  • Basic competence in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to apply basic concepts of math and writing.

WHAT YOULL DO:
Job Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain maintenance programs for all production equipment including daily, monthly and annual plans.
  • Performs diagnostics and troubleshooting of equipment, completes basic repairs and coordinates outside vendors as required.
  • Maintains inventory of critical components to ensure minimum downtime during repairs.
  • Works collaboratively with other staff and departments and contributes to a collegial, professional, and respectful environment.
  • Trains machinists and operators in daily maintenance duties.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and reliability.
  • Follows all applicable ISO standards and safety protocols including use of appropriate PPE.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
