Maintenance Technician (Onsite)
Primary Location: Libertyville, Illinois
V-Soft Consulting is currently hiring for a Maintenance Technician for our premier client in Libertyville, Illinois.
WHAT YOULL NEED:
Technical Requirements and Certifications
- Technical School Certification or post-secondary schooling preferred.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED required with completion of Technical School Certification preferred.
- Familiarity CNC machine operation strongly preferred or prior experience working with highly complicated levels of equipment.
- Minimum of one (1) year in a manufacturing or service environment with hands on experience.
- Experience with Fanuc, Siemens, or other major controls preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and in small group situations to other employees in the organization.
- Basic competence in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to apply basic concepts of math and writing.
WHAT YOULL DO:
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain maintenance programs for all production equipment including daily, monthly and annual plans.
- Performs diagnostics and troubleshooting of equipment, completes basic repairs and coordinates outside vendors as required.
- Maintains inventory of critical components to ensure minimum downtime during repairs.
- Works collaboratively with other staff and departments and contributes to a collegial, professional, and respectful environment.
- Trains machinists and operators in daily maintenance duties.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment performance.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and reliability.
- Follows all applicable ISO standards and safety protocols including use of appropriate PPE.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
