Job Title: Senior Product Owner
Location: Buffalo, NY
Hourly: $65.00/hour
Work Model: Hybrid (3-4 days in the office a week)

Positional Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Product Owner to lead a large product or a suite of products in an Agile environment. The ideal candidate will bring at least 6 years of product ownership experience, expertise in delivering enterprise scale data and transformation initiatives, and expertise in tools like JIRA and Confluence. This fully remote role requires someone who can represent the voice of the customer, collaborate cross-functionally, and prioritize development efforts to drive strategic business outcomes.
Role & Responsibility:
Tasks That Will Lead To Your Success
- Own and define the vision, roadmap, and strategy for a large product or suite of products, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Serve as the voice of the customer and key stakeholders, advocating for user needs while balancing technical and business priorities.
- Prioritize and maintain the product backlog, writing clear and actionable user stories with detailed acceptance criteria.
- Collaborate closely with Agile delivery teams, providing direction, feedback, and support throughout each sprint.
- Use JIRA and Confluence to manage workstreams, document features, track progress, and facilitate team communication.
- Promote a culture of outcome-driven development by using design thinking methodologies and analytics to inform product decisions.
- Coordinate across teams and other product owners to ensure consistent customer experience and alignment of cross-product dependencies.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including daily standups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Act autonomously and make quick, thoughtful decisions to maintain delivery momentum and product alignment.
Skills & Experience:
Qualifications That Will Help You Thrive
- Bachelor's degree and at least 6 years of product ownership, business analysis, or technical product development experience; or a combined 10 years of education and relevant work experience with 6+ years in product ownership.
- Demonstrated success operating in Agile environments and managing complex products or platforms.
- Experience in delivering enterprise scale data and transformation initiatives
- Proficient in JIRA and Confluence for backlog management, documentation, and collaboration.
- Experience in Deposits/Account Opening process or Embedded Banking
- Strong ability to translate customer and business needs into clear, actionable product requirements.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, able to work in an ambiguous environment.
