Responsibilities Job Summary Ascension is seeking a highly skilled Salesforce Solution Architect with deep expertise in
Salesforce Data Cloud and Salesforce Marketing Cloud to define and lead the architectural strategy for customer data, identity, personalization, and activation use cases across the enterprise.
In this role, you will partner closely with business, clinical, marketing, and technology stakeholders to translate complex requirements into scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions. You will be responsible for end-to-end solution design spanning Data Cloud ingestion, harmonization, identity resolution, segmentation, and activation into Marketing Cloud and downstream systems. You will also provide program-level technical leadership across delivery teams, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards and Salesforce best practices.
Key Responsibilities Architecture & Solution Design - Define the solution and integration architecture for Salesforce Data Cloud and Marketing Cloud , ensuring alignment with business objectives, enterprise standards, and Salesforce best practices.
- Lead end-to-end solution design covering data ingestion, data modeling, identity resolution, segmentation, activation, and measurement.
- Design scalable, secure, and high-performance architectures that support real-time and batch data use cases.
- Present and vet solution designs with the Salesforce Architecture team and enterprise review boards.
Data Cloud Leadership - Architect Data Cloud implementations including data streams, data model objects (DMOs), calculated insights, identity resolution, consent, and governance.
- Define data integration patterns using APIs, ETL tools, middleware, and event-based architectures.
- Ensure data quality, lineage, privacy, and compliance (including healthcare and regulatory considerations).
- Partner with data, analytics, and integration teams to ensure consistent enterprise data strategies.
Marketing Cloud Leadership - Provide architectural guidance for Marketing Cloud capabilities including Journey Builder, Email Studio, Mobile Studio, Advertising, and personalization use cases.
- Design activation patterns from Data Cloud into Marketing Cloud for audience targeting, personalization, and omni-channel engagement.
- Optimize performance, scalability, and reliability of Marketing Cloud solutions.
Governance & Continuous Improvement - Create and maintain architecture artifacts, solution designs, integration specifications, and data models.
- Establish and enforce Salesforce governance, standards, and best practices across programs.
- Stay current on Salesforce product roadmaps, releases, and emerging capabilities across Data Cloud and Marketing Cloud.
- Evaluate new tools and capabilities, build POCs, and recommend solutions to optimize the Salesforce ecosystem.
Required Qualifications - 5+ years implementing Salesforce-based solutions in an enterprise environment.
- 3+ years designing Salesforce solutions with a strong focus on Data Cloud and/or Marketing Cloud .
- Hands-on experience with data integrations, APIs, ETL tools, and middleware platforms.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce security, data modeling, identity, consent, and governance concepts.
- Proven ability to design complex, scalable, and maintainable Salesforce architectures.
Preferred Qualifications - Experience in healthcare, regulated industries, or large-scale enterprise environments.
- Salesforce certifications such as Data Cloud Consultant and/or Marketing Cloud Consultant
- Experience with real-time personalization, customer identity, and omni-channel marketing use cases.

- High School diploma equivalency with 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 2 of those years being in leadership/management OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree with 3 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 2 of those years being in leadership/management.
