Senior Data Engineer
Location: Queens, NY
Long term Contract
We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to lead data architecture, engineering, automation, and system integration initiatives supporting NYC DOE’s Office of Pupil Transportation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and maintain enterprise data architecture and SQL Server databases
- Develop ETL processes, stored procedures, workflows, and APIs
- Build applications using C#/.NET and automation using Python/SQL
- Support data warehouse, GIS, and third-party system integrations
- Implement data quality, governance, security, and validation standards
- Troubleshoot complex data issues and optimize database performance
- Partner with business, technology, GIS, DIIT, and vendor teams
- Provide technical leadership on data modernization and reporting initiatives
