Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Cloud Database Engineer to join our team. This role focuses on managing, optimizing, and supporting database environments across both traditional and cloud platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with database performance tuning, data migrations, and working with modern cloud-based applications.

This position will play a key role in ensuring database reliability, scalability, and performance across enterprise systems. You will also collaborate closely with development and infrastructure teams to support efficient data access and integration across platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor, analyze, and optimize database performance across Oracle, SQL Server, and MongoDB environments
Troubleshoot and resolve database-related performance issues in production systems
Support database migration and modernization efforts, including cloud-based initiatives
Design and maintain efficient data models, indexing strategies, and query performance standards
Collaborate with application teams to improve data access and backend performance
Assist with ETL processes, data integrations, and data synchronization across systems
Ensure data integrity, consistency, and availability across environments
Support cloud-based database workloads, particularly within Azure environments
Contribute to backend development efforts where database performance is a key focus

Qualifications

Strong experience working with Oracle, SQL Server, and/or MongoDB
Proven background in database performance tuning and optimization
Experience supporting databases in cloud environments (Azure preferred)
Familiarity with ETL processes and data integration techniques
Basic experience with backend development (TypeScript, C#, or similar) is a plus
Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to work cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teams
Experience with containerization or modern deployment practices is a plus
