Onshore ABAP Lead
Technical Leadership:
Lead a team of SAP ABAP developers and provide technical guidance.
Review technical specifications, code, and design to ensure quality and performance.
Define coding standards, development processes, and best practices.
Development & Customization:
Develop, enhance, and maintain solutions using:
ABAP/4
Object-Oriented ABAP
Adobe Forms / SmartForms
Enhancements, User Exits, BAdIs
Web Services (OData, SOAP, REST)
Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms (RICEF)
Solution Design & Integration:
Work closely with functional teams to understand business requirements.
Translate functional specifications into technical design.
Support integration with SAP Fiori, SAP UI5, and other SAP modules.
Quality & Performance:
Conduct performance tuning and code optimization.
Ensure developments adhere to SAP and organizational standards.
Manage transport activities across landscapes.
Project & Stakeholder Management:
Coordinate with cross-functional teams, business users, and project managers.
Provide effort estimates, timelines, and status updates.
Support UAT, SIT, and cutover activities.
Support & Troubleshooting:
Provide L2/L3 support for production issues.
Analyze root causes and implement permanent solutions.
Required Skills:
Strong knowledge of core ABAP (Reports, BDCs, BAPIs, RFCs, ALE/IDocs)
Expertise in Object-Oriented ABAP
Experience with SAP S/4HANA ABAP (CDS Views, AMDP, OData)
Knowledge of Fiori/UI5 (nice to have)
Understanding of SAP modules (SD, MM, FI, PP, etc.)
